Making our food system more resilient by developing a hydroponic potato growing system that can grow more, using less, anywhere in the world.

The solution

We need a system to grow crops that we grow to sustain humanity in more sustainable and resilient ways. Hydroponics is a method to grow plants in nutrient-dense water rather than soil, this method of growing food can reduce water usage by up to 95% while also reducing fertilizer, space, and need requirements, and in many cases, the need for pesticides. Using this method, however, you can only grow a small variety of crops, mainly leafy greens like lettuce, which is not what we are killing our planet to grow, nor what sustains us.
